What You’ll Need
- Canvas shoes (sneakers, slip-ons, or whatever needs a resurrection)
- Rosette template
- Scissors
- Masking tape
- Ballpoint pen
- Transfer paper
- Brush-on fabric paint
- 3D fabric paint)

- Water + paper towels
Step 1: Prep Your Design
Print out your rosette template and size it so it perfectly hugs the toe area of your shoes. Cut out the left and right patterns separately.
Step 2: Transfer the Artwork
Tape the template onto the shoe to create a hinge, then slide your transfer paper underneath—waxy side down. Trace the design firmly with a ballpoint pen to transfer the floral pattern directly onto the fabric.
Step 3: Paint the Base
Time to lay down the roots. Using your brush-on fabric paint, fill in the larger shapes of the design. Patience is a virtue here: let each coat dry completely before applying the next. If the paint looks a little uneven after a couple of rounds, give it a very light sanding, wipe away the dust, and finish with one final, smooth-as-butter layer.
Step 4: Add the Details
Once your base is bone dry, grab that dimensional fabric paint. Outline the flowers, leaves, and delicate petal details.
